Installing your drivers
A little less frequently the installation of a driver is found in a compressed file. The vast majority of compressed files have a ".zip" extension.
Your Microsoft Windows operating system is capable of reading this type of file, but for optimal and simplified operation we recommend the use of decompression software.
7-zip is certainly the most used free decompression software, you can get it from the developer's site at this address: http: //www.7-zip.org/.
Once installed, simply right-click on your compressed file, a new menu appears under the name "7-Zip", then click on "Extract files...".
A dialog window opens offering a few options, in particular the path where the files will be decompressed. By default they will be decompressed at the location of your compressed file.
By clicking on the "OK" button the decompression is done and the dialog window closes automatically.
If you have left the default path you will find in your explorer next to your .zip file the folder containing the decompressed files and bearing the same name.
Inside you will find all the files, but only one is of interest to us: the installer. It is usually called "setup", but you can also find "install" or "installer", other possibilities exist, but it will always be an executable file with the extension ".exe" or ".msi".
By executing this file you start the installation of your driver.
As in the case of an installer, each manufacturer creates its own menus, texts and various options.
