Since recently version 2 of the driver service allows automatic loading and installation of drivers.
For those who want to keep the old behavior it is possible to disable the automatic installation in the driver service options.
On the My Drivers page, you can check the drivers you want to install. The most recent drivers are enabled by default and you can select only one driver per hardware.
When you have finished your selection, click the Install button. The server will automatically generate a dedicated installer for your configuration.
After launching the application you will be presented with an interface similar to the main application. Two options are available. Forcing the installation allows you to install a driver that would not pass the first time. We advise you to avoid this option.
Offline detection will allow you to download all previously selected drivers and create a standalone executable archive. Use this option if you want to install the drivers on a machine not connected to the Internet.
When you click Install, the application will first download all your drivers to the hard disk. It will then unzip them all and finally install them.
At the end of the installation you will see this screenshot. If some drivers have not been installed, the application will tell you. Finally, if the installation of drivers requires a restart of the PC, the application will inform you and ask you to do so.
When you close the application, all the associated files will be deleted from the hard disk. A log file is also created in the logs folder of the DriversCloud application.
