Dreaming of a more customizable interface for Windows 11? Dream no more... it's called Windows 25.
No, of course, Microsoft isn't planning to release an entirely new version of Windows this year, let alone christen it "25". On the other hand, the work that has gone into this "Windows 25" could well inspire many users who find fault with the interface and customization (im)possible with Windows 11. This "Windows 25" is presented to us by the XDA Developers site, and is nothing less than the community's work to reverse many of the interface shortcomings of Microsoft's operating system.

Windows 25 aims to change many of the interface elements of Windows 11, to take some of the best aspects of Windows 7 or Windows 10 and even to draw inspiration from other operating systems and integrate completely new ideas. The image above is just one example of what Windows 25 looks like, and if you'd like to try it out for yourself, all you have to do is follow the excellent step-by-step video published by Link Vegas. The word "just" is in quotation marks, as it's going to take a bit of effort to get everything just right, but I promise you, it's not going to be complicated.
