More than ever, Microsoft encourages the move to Windows 11
With Windows 10 soon to be a thing of the past, Microsoft is starting to send real "warning messages" to users.
Announced many months ago, the end of Windows 10 is drawing ever closer. Of course, it will still be possible to use the operating system beyond the fateful date, but from October 14, 2025, Microsoft will put its OS on the back burner and no longer monitor it. As a result, it will be more risky to continue working with it, even more so on a computer connected to the Internet. Microsoft is once again reminding us of this famous date through e-mails that the firm has decided to send to Windows 10 users. As Windows Latest explains, it couldn't be clearer: " The end of support for Windows 10 is approaching ".
Of course, Microsoft isn't content with scaring Windows 10 users, and in its message, the Redmond company goes on to provide links to check that the machine being used complies with Windows 11 hardware recommendations. Windows Latest also points out that the message sent by Microsoft includes frequently asked questions designed to answer any questions you might still have, such as the famous deadline, but also the fact that while machines running Windows 10 will continue to function after October 14, it's possible that in addition to security flaws, some software may simply refuse to launch. Finally, in the event that your PC is not compatible with Windows 11, Microsoft is playing the good Samaritan by recommending that you recycle your old PC after buying a new one. Thanks to whom?
