Artificial intelligence is everywhere, and all the big names in tech are out to show they're on deck.
In the space of a few days, artificial intelligence enabled NVIDIA to become the world's largest market capitalization. It didn't last, but by remaining a solid third, NVIDIA is making the most of its lead in artificial intelligence. A position that is the envy of its main tech rivals, led by AMD and Intel. For Intel, the turn towards artificial intelligence has not been properly negotiated, but the company intends to make up for lost time. New processors that rely more on the power of their NPU(Neural Processing Unit ) are about to arrive with the Lunar Lake (laptops) and Arrow Lake (desktops) architectures. Intel is also counting on its new graphics generation - Arc Battlemage - to get back into the race. This generation will be found within the above-mentioned architectures, and will benefit from increasingly strong software support from Intel.

To give us a foretaste, the American company has just released the AI Playground software. It's an AI chatbot that harnesses the power of Intel chips to offer us generative AI. To use it, you need a Windows machine with an Intel Core Ultra-H processor or Intel Arc dedicated graphics solution, with at least 8 GB of video memory. If you meet these requirements, you can go to the dedicated page on the Intel website to download and install AI Playground, a 748 MB download. AI Playground works on the principle of submitting queries to artificial intelligence, which can be iterated to obtain the most precise response possible. Intel insists thatAI Playground is completely free, open-source, local and easy to use. Here's what the American company has to say about it:
