GMK: soon the first mini PC with Ryzen AI Max+ 395
GMK is about to unveil a revolutionary mini PC, the first to feature AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 technology. This processor, recently announced by AMD, is part of the new Strix Halo range, which promises exceptional performance.
GMK has expressed its intention to launch the first mini PC to feature AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 technology, in the first or second quarter of 2025.
The Ryzen AI Max+ 395, which was unveiled at the CES 2025 technology show in Las Vegas a few days ago, is the top-of-the-range model in the Strix Halo range. It offers an impressive configuration with 16 cores and 32 threads, as well as a Radeon 8060S iGPU. The latter boasts 40 computing units (CU), a considerable leap over the iGPU in the Strix Point range, which was equipped with just 16 CU.
GMK has stated that its mini PC will also be offered with a standard version of the APU, the Ryzen AI Max. However, the company has yet to divulge details of its other technical specifications.
The brand is therefore planning a more powerful machine than the Evo X1, its most recently launched model. As a reminder, the Evo X1, which offers 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, is currently priced at $919. So it's already certain that the price of the future Strix Halo mini PC will be much higher, due to its cutting-edge specifications.
