Redesigned installation dialog box
We are pleased to inform you of recent improvements to our site.
Ergonomic redesign: The agent installation dialog has been optimized. Automatic installation and offline (manual) installation are now separated into two separate dialogs.
Improved offline detection: We have improved the steps involved in offline detection without an Internet connection. Offline installation of the Microsoft Edge View Runtime is now available. This module, which is required for certain third-party web applications, does not replace your web browser with Microsoft Edge. Although Windows Update and the automatic agent are supposed to install it, until now this was not the case without an Internet connection.
New version of DriversCloud agent: This update corrects several issues:
- Adaptation of the agent's reconnection algorithm in the event of a server outage.
- Correction of the service that did not necessarily stop when the application disconnected the account.
- In the event of a server or Internet outage, the service automatically attempts to reconnect a certain number of times. If the limit is exceeded, the application opens to allow the user to reconnect. A description of this action has been added.
Troubleshooting: A major outage a fortnight ago revealed a web server configuration problem. The resolution of this problem also corrected excessive CPU usage, making page loading much smoother.
Good news to come: we're working on a new feature that should radically change the direction of DriversCloud. More details will be shared shortly, but we're sure it will appeal to many of you!
