The new-generation Surface Pro comes with an excellent keyboard+stylus kit - we have no doubt about that - but at an unbelievably low price.
Microsoft is betting big on artificial intelligence. The American firm is known for having invested considerable sums in OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT. Since then, the publisher has introduced its own artificial intelligence solution, Copilot, which it deploys on all its solutions, from Windows 11 to Office 365 products. The stakes are so high that Microsoft has even come up with a new family of laptops, Copilot + PC, but this doesn't prevent it from also working on better-known, more "historic" ranges.

So, in parallel with the announcement of this new family, the Surface Laptop and Surface Pro were announced. In both cases, the aim is to offer the ultimate in PC design, with an elegance that would not be denied by Apple. The Surface Laptop can thus be seen as Microsoft's response to the release of Apple's MacBook Air M3, while the Surface Pro is as singular as ever, with its hybrid tablet/PC feel. Although the product is sold as a simple tablet, it is very easy to add a keyboard to turn it into a real laptop.
Unfortunately, this is where there's a bit of a problem. Microsoft has never "sold out" of accessories for the Surface range, but with the "Surface Pro Flex Keyboard with Slim Pen", as it appears on the manufacturer's data sheet, it's somehow reaching new heights. Just think: the keyboard and stylus accessory comes in at a whopping 529.99 euros. Not even Apple, with its recent Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro, had reached such heights (349 euros). So, sure, the keyboard is a high-quality model, and Microsoft mentions the presence of three keys (microphone, screenshot and Copilot), but quite frankly, do you think that's enough to justify such a high price?
