AMD, Intel and NVIDIA to meet at CES 2023 in Las Vegas
New models of GeForce RTX 4000 and Radeon RX 7000 cards as well as new Raptor Lake and Ryzen processors are planned.
After a remote 2021 edition and a 2022 edition that was still pretty much shaken up by the Covid-19 pandemic, the CES in Las Vegas seems to be well and truly back. The 2023 edition of the Consumer Electronic Show will be held from January 5 to 8, and the organizers of what remains the largest technology show in the world are currently counting on the presence of more than 4,000 exhibitors from 174 countries with names as prestigious as Google, LG, Microsoft, Panasonic, Qualcomm, Samsung and Sony.
Still in competition, three of the industry's heavyweights have confirmed their presence, AMD, Intel and NVIDIA. However, the three American companies have a significantly different approach to the show and it is undoubtedly AMD that is the most ambitious. Indeed, more and more used to the fact, the company has planned to hold a real press conference before the show. Thus, from January 4 at 3:30 am, Paris time, it is the boss of AMD, Lisa Su, who will speak through a keynote as she had already done at the time of revealing the Ryzen 7000 processors and graphics solutions RDNA 3.

The event will likely be dedicated to the evolution of its various lines, and in particular we expect details on the "non-X" Ryzen 7000 series of processors. Perhaps AMD will also reveal some information about the future X3D processors and its new series of APUs based on RDNA 3. Finally, who knows, maybe the Radeon RX 7000 will have a new arrival to make the entry ticket more affordable: there are rumors that a Radeon RX 7800 is expected soon.
NVIDIA is more reserved and if CES 2023 will be the occasion of a presentation from the GeForce developer, no keynote is scheduled. No, the company's next announcements will have to make do with the broadcast of a video during which we expect the third card in the Ada Lovelace range, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, to be revealed as officially as possible. The details of the GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060/4060 Ti are much more uncertain, but they will take the wind out of the sails of its competitors. We look forward to seeing you on January 3rd at 6:00 p.m. PT.

Finally, there is no doubt that Intel is making the trip to Las Vegas for CES 2023, but the company has not scheduled any keynote or conference. Such a decision is quite surprising as Intel has many projects in its cartons, but in the absence of holding a conference, the American company would have already invited the international press by signing non-disclosure agreements: it would be a question of presentations " behind closed doors ", in other words in a more confidential manner.
