For months now, we've been talking about the new generation of graphics cards that the specialists in the genre, AMD and NVIDIA, have been preparing in their corner. At the time of presenting its Ryzen 7000 processors, AMD had very timidly lifted the veil on RDNA3. The new graphics architecture was not even presented and AMD was content to advance a much better energy efficiency speaking of performances/watt 50% higher than RDNA2, the current generation.
For its part, NVIDIA had been more discreet until now. Rumors were flying around about the GeForce RTX 4000, but the American company made absolutely no comment. However, this silence seems to be a thing of the past. Last week, NVIDIA confirmed a keynote " you won't want to miss " where NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang will speak about " the latest breakthroughs in gaming, design and graphics technology ".
The keynote is a prelude to the Graphics Technology Conference (GTC), which is always an opportunity for NVIDIA to review its technological innovations. Of course, with such an announcement, it is hard to see how Jensen Huang could avoid the question of GeForce RTX 4000. However, it should be noted that there is no direct mention of these new graphics cards and it is possible that NVIDIA will only talk about the cards, without going into too much detail. More than ever an event to follow in any case.
